Q1: What kind of phone case can I use this ring with?
A1: It only adheres to a case with a smooth PC or TPU back that doesn’t have a non-slip coating. The case must be less than 4 mm in order to support wireless charging.
Q2: Can I reapply the ring if I put it on wrong?
A2: Once installed, it can be removed, but not repositioned or reapplied. We strongly recommended watching the installation video before setting up your new ring.
Q3: Can this ring speed up the process of charging my phone?
A3: Wireless charging speed is determined by your phone model, wireless charger, and charging adapter. This ring increases charging efficiency by keeping your phone centered on the charger, but it cannot increase charging speed beyond the maximum supported by your phone, charger, and adapter.

ESR products are super high quality. Their chargers are amazing. This is a metal circle that comes with a great installation kit to help you stick it in the correct location on the back of your non-MagSafe phone. The idea is great, but it did not fit inside the sleeve I use for my wallet case. I am not interested in using my phone without the sleeve. So, it’s not for me.
I like that the product adhesives are pretty freaking strong. That’s the good part. The crappy parts. So this is made so that you can turn your non MagSafe case into a case with MagSafe. The alignment tool that you use plugs into the bottom of your phone, one side apple, one side android. After you plug in the correct side, you put clear sheet onto the pegs of the piece you plugged into your phone. The pegs help guide you for the model of your phone. That all sounds perfect. The issue is, if there is a case on your phone, and there should be, the alignment sheet can’t lay flat to give you an accurate positioning of ring, and as I stated, once the ring is on.. it’s apart of that case. I had finally found the perfect case ( unfortunately without MagSafe ) and tried to do my best with what I had to work with, and that led to incorrect placement. Rip case. Lastly, this ring is bluntly cut. Inner and outer , issue with that? It’s extremely sharp, so yes it will scratch/cut you or whatever object comes in it’s path. I believe that the execution is very poorly done… it’s almost as if everyone got split up on what part needed to be designed a certain way and then once they were finished, they didn’t check/test it and threw it out for production to start making some dough. Hopefully the company will make the pegs longer to accommodate cases to give clearance to the measurement sheet, and smooth over the ring so that it isn’t so sharp and uncomfortable.
update:3/24/22 the ESR folks contacted me about the product and has sent me a MagSafe silicone case. very responsive and invested customer service rep. we did discuss how to make the MagSafe ring better so I’m hopeful that the next reiteration will be great. I do notice that the case they sent is thinner than the basic plastic case I used my ring on. this is important to note as it will affect your results. It sticks onto the phone case well. Fairly thin but you know something is there. The wireless charging works but only when it catches. It’s 75% of the time catches. Of that, 25% flashes as it flickers between catching to charge or error unable to charge. It also isn’t a strong magnet. I put my mag wallet, official apple branded one, and it slides around on it. It’ll catch and indicate that MagSafe wallet but it very easily slides off when I pick up my phone. Not at all secure so have to be mindful of it.
