UGREEN 100W USB C Multiport Charger for MacBook, Laptop, iPhone, iPad, and Galaxy Phones

Gone are the days when the 100W charger seems to be heavier. Nowadays, with power delivery, you can charge your powerful laptops more quickly and can also power up low-power devices such as smartphones, tablets, Chromebooks easily. If you’re ready to leave the house but your smartphone or laptop battery is low, a compatible fast charger will be able to add a decent amount of charge in a short period of time, that’s why the UGREEN charger is an ideal choice.

Q1: Why does it sometimes wake up my device when I plug in or unplug another device ?

A1: When multiple devices are connected at the same time, plugging a new device in or unplugging any of the devices from the charger will render a short charging pause for other devices. This short pause is due to the power redistribution of the charger.

Q2: How to get the best performance of all charging ports?

A2: When you need to use 3 or more of the charging ports simultaneously, to maximize the output power, it is suggested to preferentially use the C1/C2/A ports. The combination of C3 and A is not recommended because the power output would be minimal in this case.

Please Note: If you want to fast charge the laptop, please only connect to the C1 or C2 port for charging.

Foldable Plug

With a foldable plug design, the charger offers greater portability and simpler storage for you to carry in your backpack or bag on the go.

GaN Tech

With new GaN technology, the USB C charger delivers power more efficiently, while generating less waste of energy and heat.

4-in-1 Charger

The 100W USB charging station charges 4 devices simultaneously with high-speed, So, there’s no need to juggle with several chargers.

I love it. It’s compact enough on the wall outlet and for my laptop to be plugged at the same time since it uses a ground. I can now charge my apple watch, Ipad, airpods and my iPhone at the same time. If they make a 4 port usb-c version, I will buy that one for my night stand. Highly recommend

There's nothing like getting more functionality from a product than the original. More ports than the MagSafe charger and less expensive. It charges my 16" MacBook Pro M1 Pro Max with no problem at all. It still charges very fast, just not as fast as MagSafe. It has enough power to charge up while using the MacBook. Even the MagSafe cable works well with it. This is a very worthwhile purchase!

I tested this with a 65 Watt laptop, a 30 Watt Laptop and an iPhone in different configurations. No problems at all, even when stress-testing the 65W laptop. The charger stayed cool and provided clean power that didn't disrupt things like touch-screens, or cause any buzzing in the speakers (which can happen with dirty power supplies).I was initially doing my testing with a power bank, which can pull at most 60W, that had a readout for power... but that bank started going haywire with all the testing I was doing on multiple chargers, and became unreliable with constant disconnects and false cutouts that I could not repeat on any other device. I am pretty sure UGREEN's power adapter was not responsible for this. The only quirk I could confirm is when plugging/unplugging 2nd and 3rd cables while one is in use, the power will cut out briefly, then the device will re-negotiate the connection.

There are so many GaN based chargers on the market now, after Anker and RavPower started releasing them in early 2019. Now there are countless brands making chargers that use this technology, it allows for the wall chargers to either be smaller or in this case, pack a lot of ports together in a still relatively smaller size. This one is almost the exact same size as my 61 watt (single USB C port) charger that came with my M1 Macbook Pro which uses the more conventional silicon based solution. This charger was four ports in total, two full fledged USB C ports that can both do up to 100 watts if nothing else is plugged in. They support Power Delivery2.0 and 3.0, Programmable Power Supply, and Quickcharge 4+. Then there is another lesser USB C port and a USB A port, these can both reach a maximum of only 22.5 watts, but what else is plugged in and charging can affect this. There is a lot of combinations that will change what wattage the ports can output at. The two bottom ports both support Quickcharge 3.0, but the bottom USB A port also supports 12 watt (2.4 amp) charging for older Apple devices like iPhones and iPads from before late 2017 when Apple starting supporting USB C Power Delivery charging (with a Lightning to USB C cable). It also supports BC 1.2, Quickcharge 2.0, SCP, FCP, AFC. I don't even know what some of those last few protocols are, but Ugreen says that they are supported on the USB A port.To make things more simple, the top two ports would be for charging things like Nintendo Switch, Macbooks that have USB C ports, newer smartphones, any iPad that was released in the last 3 or so years. You would charge older Android and Apple devices on the bottom two ports. For things like true wireless earbuds or Apple Watches, I would use the bottom USB A port. With the right cables, you can pretty much charge anything with this wall charger. It can charger a 13" Macbook Pro and an iPad Pro or iPhone 12/13 series both at full speed at the same time (65 watts from the top port and 30 watts from the second port). As an Apple user, this charger is going to be only thing I need to take with me to charge everything from my iPhone, Apple Watch, AirPods, Macbook, and iPad.The wall adapter is very sturdy and feels super solid, I think that it will last for a really long time. I like that the prongs fold up so that storing it in a bag is easier. I wish they would have included a pouch for carrying it around, but they didn't. I like this charger a lot and it feels very premium and will look right at home next to a Macbook Pro and an iPhone 13. But even if you use a Samsung phone and a Windows laptop, this will work great for that too since it supports the PPS needed to fast charge the newer Galaxy devices.

  2. I tested this charger against the 96W charger that comes with the M1 Max 14" MacBook Pro released in Late 2021. And I’m happy to report that both chargers charge the MacBook at around 90W. The charger seems to have some sort of smart circuitry that notifies it when a plugged in device isn’t using power and it cuts of power to that device. I tested the UGreen charger with an iPhone MagSafe Puck connected to port 3 and without the MagSafe connected. It outputs 90W regardless. If you’re charging an iPhone with the MagSafe puck while the laptop is plugged in however it drops to around 60W. If you then take the phone off the MagSafe Puck the wattage does not automatically go back to 90W. You need to disconnect the MagSafe Puck and reconnect it for the charger to check and see that it isn’t using any power. That said, this is an excellent charger. It is however important to note that this cannot charge an Apple watch over it’s USB A port. I’m not sure why, but shortly after being connected, the Apple watch stops charging. This issue is prominent on both the 60W and 100W UGreen chargers.

  5. I love this! It charges my iPad and my sons iPad in like 30 minutes, at the same time. It’s great except it turns on and turns off a lot. So when I’m sleeping it repeatedly lights up.
