TT-BH090 Hybrid Active Noise Cancelling Headphones
I've had about 3 sets of different headphones from bose, apple and sony. These headphones hold their own against all those brands. Obviously, you sacrifice some features and quality when you start to lower your budget range. I'll touch on some positives, negatives, and areas to highlight.Pros:1. Aesthetic: These headphones resemble high-end brands. You might get them confused for Beats or Bose from afar. The finish is top-notch and controls look good as well.2. Range: I was able to get about 25'-30' from my phone before the connection started to phase in and out.3. Functionality: I was able to connect to an android, iPhone, and MacBook without any problems. Buttons control music, on-board assistants, and calls as they should with the typical 1-2-3 button click combinations.4. Sound Quality & NC: The bass is the best on these headphones. I was able to enjoy my normal dose of Rap/R&B without any qualms. Voices and beats sound tight and punchy. The noise-canceling is present but not really active. I was able to hear the television and people around me I had the NC activated. It could be better.Cons:1. Earmuffs: The interior lining and cushioning feel a little loose. When your ears touch the lining it feels like it slides from its original placement.2. Buttons: Sometimes pressing the action button will cause the wrong command to activate. This could be due to a sensitivity or programming bug.Overall:These headphones look nice, have a great battery life, and sound well. I would recommend picking one of these up if you need a spare to take on a trip or if you want a good pair for when you work out. I haven't had any big issues while using them for the past few days.
Edit 1: Took about an hour to fully charge 0->100. Also, you won't be able to use them while chargingEdit 2(after almost a 2 weeks of use): Your ears can get sweaty due to no air circulation inside the headphones and using ANC causes the headphone to create heat that can be felt by your ears so, do take care of that.Lovely pair of headphones at this price point I don't think there are many options out there at this price, I looked and found there are only 2 major brands that make quality headphones at this price, Anker, and TaoTronics. I went with TaoTronics as its build was much more to my liking. The quality of the headphones is great, Good highs, awesome mids, and loud lows these feel really awesome when hearing to the music. There is an AUX cable, Micro-USB to USB, and a Case included in the box of course with the headphones. Even though the brand is not that well know the logo does not look cheap at all.I have used them for 3 days now and I got a 30hr use of a 1 full charge which is really good. Also, the ANC is not that 300$ good but it is good if you are playing media with ANC on.Will update after some more usage and with images.
Great active noise cancelling headphone within the budget !
Recently I've been looking for a budget active noise cancelling headphone. The market leaders are so ridiculously expensive so I thought I'd look at some online reviews for some affordable ANC headphones that will drain my wallet completely. Taotronics was praised by a couple of reviewers so I thought I'd give it a try. So here's my review after using it for a couple of days and comparing it with my wife's Bose QC 35 II.Pros:-AppearanceThis headphone came in a really nice hard shell case. The ear cups can be swiveled and folded up nicely to fit inside. The headphone with its matte finish feels heavy and premium.-Charging and Battery lifeIt has a USB-C charging port so no headache for me as my phone and computer both are USB-C. Battery charges pretty quickly. Took me around 50 minutes for a full charge. I've used for 24 hours non-stop with ANC and only after that it said battery low.-ErgonomicsThe earcups fit comfortably. Although it's heavier(285 g) than a Bose QC35 (235g), it's quite comfortable and you forget about the weight after a while. The higher weight is explained by higher battery life as well.-Sound quality:Sound quality of this headphone is solid. I have a couple of tracks that I like to use while testing a headphone and I could hear all the guitars, bass, snare drums, keys clearly in the mix. It becomes a bit muffled when you crank the volume really high but otherwise it sounds really crisp and clear.-Active Noise cancellingThe headphone already have a pretty good passive noise isolation. When you turn ANC on, it pretty much drowns all low frequency noise. I'd say it cancels noise pretty much 85% compared to a Bose QC35. But considering you have to pay nearly 7 times for that 15% I'd say Taotronics is doing a solid job . Besides if you are playing music even at 25% volume it pretty much drowns out every noise. This will come in handy in public transport and planetravels.Cons:-Bluetooth PairingMy biggest gripe is that it cannot pair to multiple devices simultaneously like a Sony or Bose can. I had to turn off my phone's bluetooth to pair the headphone with my laptop. Whereas for a Sony or Bose it's a seamless experience. But I'm planning to use it with my laptop only, so not much of an issue for me.- Battery level indication:On many headphones they explicitly announces the battery level as percentage. This one only says battery high or battery low. They should improve on battery level announcements. In summary I can say if you want active noise cancelling with decent music listening experience without breaking your bank , Taotronics is a good choice for you.
Firstly i was an user of Bose headphones for a long time but i wanted something cheaper to use during workouts & in kitchen and this came in under $50. I wanted to try it out and I am simply amazed!Build quality : they certainly don't look cheap et'all. Soft plastic finish almost feels like bose qc headphonesSound: base is soild and the lows n mids are excellent.Noise cancellation: this is where this lags behind high end headphones but again for the price, they are decent.Microphone /call quality: just okay, callers complained of background noise and the voice feels a little far.Overall a good buy, and again for the price, you can't go wrong with these
The headphones came well packaged in a small box . The instructions were described clearly and were accurate. The headphones come in a travel case which is an added advantage. It helps to carry to headphones and cables while travelling and securing at home too.The battery was fully charged when used for the first time. The system lets you know what level the battery is, when switched on for the for the first time. The manual states 35 hours of run time, used around 25 hrs now for music and phone calls with no extra charge. The bluetooth paring is super easy. As soon as I powered on, I was able to find the headphone with my computer/iphones without any issues. The bluetooth range as stated supports upto 30 fit without sound distortion. The audio quality is good over bluetooth but great when plugged in using the included 3.5mm headphone jack .The noise cancellation is great and worth it for the price paid. The earcups are soft and they are easy going on ears. The microsphone feature is an added bonus and works great with the phone calls and computer calls. This helps me to conitnue listening to music and switch between calls. So in all for the price , its a great headphone with all the features described above.
I've been very happy with these headphones. They arrived quickly and they came with a very nice carrying case (I wasn't expecting that!). The box also contained the cable to charge the headphones and a 3.5mm cable to use in case the battery dies. These seem durable, I have no concerns that they'll hold up over time. The earpads are comfortable. Headphones have buttons for adjusting the volume, skipping forward or backward, and a light to show when the headphones are fully charged. The instructions were very easy to follow and I had no issues pairing the headphones to my phone. Audio quality is good and the ANC seems to block out most exterior noise, I'm looking forward to wearing these when I mow my yard. These are a very good value for the price and I would definitely buy these again!
More comfortable, better noise cancelation, greater sound quality than Sony WH-CH700N
I lost my old headphones, a pair of Sony WH-CH700Ns last week. I struggled looking at all the expensive headphones I could buy to replace them and realized that I was sick of spending so much money on headphones because of my budget. I read some reviews online and on Amazon and eventually found these. I ordered them after reading all of the reviews and had them set to deliver on the weekend.I since found my old sonys somewhere and though I was happy to find them, I was turned on to these Taotronics Hybrid Active Noise Canceling headphones immediately when they shipped to me.For one, there is no hissing when using ANC, unlike my Sony's. The efficacy of the ANC was more impressive blocking out my air conditioner as well, something my Sony's couldn't accomplish before.Second, the sound is more natural. The bass is stronger but does not drown out or muffle the rest of the spectrum. It just sounds clean, loud, and powerful.Next, the fit is WAY more comfortable than my Sony's. I love the new shape of the ear pieces. They envelop my ears better. The pad is plush, and the headphones don't squeeze your head. (and I have a huge head). The earpieces rotate a full 90 degrees for easy, comfortable relaxation of the headphones on your neck. The buttons all have the same capabilities as the buttons on my Sony, including a button for Google assistant, Bixby, or other smart assistant. For the 60 bucks I spent on them, these are easily my new favorite headphones. My Sony WH-CH700Ns (a 250 dollar pair) will now take the backseat to these beauties as the headset I listen to when I have to charge these and can't wait. Heck, I might just sell the Sony's and buy another pair of these.
Bought these specifically because I wanted noise cancellation. Overall these are pretty nice - I didn't expect them to come in a quality stiff case with a mesh pocket inside. The build feels nice and they're comfortable (I'm a glasses wearer). The audio cable has a square jack too, which is a plus. These do a good job of cancelling out low frequencies. The audio quality could be better but I wasn't expecting much to begin with, and from what I've read the ANC function on most headphones give it that "tinnier" sound.I was wondering why people were raving about the noise cancellation feature when it didn't seem to be working that well for me. I then realized that my head was too small, so the headphones are ever so slightly loose and some sound leaks in.
I got these headphones because I needed some ear protection in my workshop, and figured I may as well have music replace the whine of saws and planers. I did not have great expectations.I was amazed at the sound when I first put these on. I do not have other similar headphones to compare to, but these totally outperform other in-ear and bone conducting headphones. They seem to have a good range of high and nice bass. The headphones are adjustable to go over big heads or fit snugly over smaller ones. Controls are all on the right side and easily distinguishable by feel. Battery life seems good. I’ve only listened for 2-3 hours total over several uses, but every time I turn them on, I hear “battery high” to let me know that I do not need to plug them in yet. When I made a phone call, I am told that the mic picked me up normally; hard to tell I was speaking on headphones. And I could hear the other party fine. All in all, a great set of headphones, will do exactly what I wanted. I highly recommend. They even come with a case!
