Loved Caseology Legion cases for past iPhones, but this one is a disappointment.1) Lack of color options. Where are the more ‚Äúnormal‚Äù colors from previous years? I could get over this, but..2) ..the added texture on the case is uncomfortable. It‚Äôs not shown clearly in the pictures, but there‚Äôs basically rough nail filers going down the sides of the case where your hand holds it, making it uncomfortable to hold. If the intention was to add more grip, Caseology should look at how other brands do it.3) The back plate is very slippery this year. I put it side by side with my old Caseology Legion case and it’s a big difference. Maybe the new side textures were supposed to balance this out, but as mentioned above those side textures are extremely uncomfortable.Everything else is as expected (protection, buttons, ports). Will look into coming back to Caseology in the future, but not this year. Please revert these backward steps!
Well, I really liked the feel and navy color of the case on my iphone12 pro max, have been approximately 20 days that I have been using it and so far so good, no issues yet. It is indeed compatible with mag safe charger as well. Dropped it once but certainly not for testing and was an accident. It protected the phone well and no complaints about it.The only downside is, there is a hairline gap on the right edge of the phone and the case which when pressed go away but then comes back again… So, snuggly fit is what lacked a little bit… or may be I got a defective piece but guess will live with this as long as it lasts.
It’s a great size, and yes, I did order the right cover for my phone. Doesn’t protrude too much from the phone, so it’s easy to handle. The parts coated in the grippy material are grippy. It has a good texture. The smooth portions are not too smooth, so you get a decent amount of grip on those areas as well. The problem for me is the case doesn’t conform well to the phone shape. Along the left and right sides, down near the bottom, my case bows out noticeably, away from the phone body. Given how crisp the edge of the phone screen is, and the color difference, it’s obvious one line is straight and the other is curved. It’s livable Рthere is no visible gap, for example, between the phone body on this case, but I really didn’t expect this kind of obvious issue. Just figured it would fit snug and close like the cover I last had on it. Hoping this new cover manages to somehow shrink into the body in the coming few days. Otherwise, it’s a waste for me. Plenty of covers offering good protection and looks that fit tighter and look good.
As I received this case prior to my 12 Pro Max, I was hesitant on how the lower narrow sides of the case had this stubbled “nail filer” feel to it. After inserting the phone into the case, the design served as a great traction. due to the weight of the phone as the rest of the design does not offer a rubberized, silicon, nor leathery grip to it. The blue/green works well with the Pacific Blue and the camera lens is protected without protruding too much to cause the phone and case to rock when on a surface. The only small reservation on the case is that the case area over the volume rockers and power buttons have slight openings to give a better button feel. It may collect dust and lint in those areas over time. Overall, it feels like a rugged case that gives you comfort knowing it will not be slipping out of your hand easily and does not add too much bulk to an already large phone.
