Not sure what all the negative reviews are on about. I suppose it’s possible that there’s some bad quality product getting out there, but I felt compelled to post and say I didnt have any of the issues people are describing (loose sides, too tight fit, wrong size, sharp edges). I’d ordered this, then came back to read reviews after a few days only to get a bit concerned at all the negative posts. I even went to a store today to look at other cases before this arrived thinking I’d have to send this back. I was unable to find anything at the store, pretty picked over as you can imagine as the phone launch just happened… which actually worked to my advantage because I got home, this case arrived, and I really like it. All the cut outs align, the fit is snug to where you want it… not too tight, but not loose. I dont want to be taking this case off all the time. There is enough protection where you can lay the phone flat on its face and it will absolutely not be touching screen on the surface of where you laid it. Same for the camera. As a side note, before venturing out to stores today I looked around here first and saw lots of other cases with glowing, amazing reviews and I cant help but feel something shady is going on. I dont know, it’s very tough for me to trust Amazon reviews, which… I dont know what else to use or do. And here I am typing a review so if you’re like me the odds are you’re skeptical of this post! My bottom line, do not let the negative reviews stop you from getting this case. Get it, try it out, then if you dont like it, return it. Maybe others are getting lemons but mine is great.
This case protects the iPhone 14 Pro Max very well. Spigen has always been a top choice, and their cases are made well. This one I purchased is the Matte Black, which has the black edges and crystal clear back, and I don’t notice fingerprint smudges likes others are commenting. I rarely drop my phone, but it fits very tight in the case, so it feels well protected. The camera bump on the back covers the lenses completely, which is always good. The original case I got was almost so tight it didn’t quite fully fit over the top left part of the phone in the middle, but they sent me a replacement no problems, and the new one fits perfectly. It may have been the first batch with fitment. The buttons on the sides of the phones press very well, and it doesn’t get in the way of the speaker or a screen protector if you have one on the phone. Well worth the investment!
My last case for my iPhone 12 was also spigen. They make excellent cases for great price. I ordered the green one for the 14 pro max to arrive on the same day as the arrival of my phone. The first one I received I actually ended up having to exchange because it almost fit too snug. Hard to explain but the phone was super hard to get into the case almost as if it was too tight and not enough depth so the top edges of the case left visible bezel and didn’t hug the phone correctly. The replacement I received today was absolutely perfect however. No visible bezel around the screen, easy to pop in and hugs the phone perfectly. So idk what that says about quality control or if the first one was just unlucky but at the end of the day easy fix and happy with the case.
I’ve ordered this exact case for the last 4 iPhones I’ve owned. Once again, they had the best case available at launch. I always order a few cases so that they’re here before the phone arrives. Lots of companies take weeks or even months before they release the updated cases. That does me no good if I’m trying to protect it from day one. Spigen understands that. The buttons are satisfyingly clickey, the perimeter of the front lip lies flat all around the screen, the cutouts are perfectly aligned with the speakers, there’s plenty of room around the port for any cable, and it looks clean on the purple phone. I absolutely recommend this case. I’ve turned several friends onto Spigen as a brand. They haven’t let me down yet.
